Role: IT Technician (Temporary)Hourly Pay Rate: £16.86 - £17.91Location: Central Cambridge (On Site 5-Days)Estimated Length of Assignment: 1 month+*Appointment Subject to DBS Check*A well-known and prestigious organisation is seeking an IT Technician to provide 1st & 2nd line IT support across its main site and associated locations. This is an ongoing temporary assignment, offering hands-on involvement in day-to-day service delivery, user support, hardware and software installation, and assistance with networking and infrastructure activities within a busy operational environment.Core Responsibilities:
* Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests and incidents
* Providing first line investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of routine technical issues
* Escalating unresolved issues appropriately and maintaining accurate support records
* Installing, configuring, and decommissioning hardware and software
* Supporting application maintenance and troubleshooting
* Assisting with network and infrastructure support activities
* Contributing to incident and problem management processes
* Supporting staff onboarding and induction on IT tools and services
Experience xsngvjr Required:
* Experience providing 1st & 2nd line IT support within a professional environment
* Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office
* Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
* Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WiFi, switches, routers)
* Experience installing and configuring hardware and software
