Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is looking for a Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer to support the new E-7 Programme based in Lossiemouth, United Kingdom.
Boeing Defence UK operates an engineering matrix organisation consisting of engineering departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. One of the Departments is the Product Support Engineering (ILS Engineering) which provides the product supportability infrastructure comprising the following technical areas:
1. Logistic Support Analysis
2. Reliability and Maintainability
3. Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis
4. Engineering Data Exploitation
5. Obsolescence Management
6. Integrated Logistic Support Engineering
7. Technical Publications
As a LSA engineer, you will call upon your experience to facilitate and implement LSA philosophies and techniques whilst remaining compliant with the appropriate regulatory standards. You will report to the BDUK Support Engineering Manager whilst being technically supported by the LSA Technical Lead and our other capability specialists within the department
Responsibilities:
8. Review of Technical Documentation to assist in the resolution of alternative solutions for long lead time spare orders
9. Develop, manage and maintain LSAR in line with programme and customer requirements
10. Work in close conjunction with the Material & Demand Forecasting Team in resolving spares issues and codification support
11. Providing the initial response to Supply Chain for immediate Technical Queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft
12. Work in close conjunction with the ILS Technical Publications Team to ensure correct changes are made to the Air-System Documentation Set,
13. Support contingency planning and requirements
14. Work with the Product Support Technical Publications to ensure alignment of the Air-System Documentation Set with changes to the logistics support baselines,
Basic Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
15. Experience of Logistics Support Analysis with the use of a LSAR
16. Logistic Support Analysis /Integrated Logistical Support related work experience
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
18. Ability to read and interpret technical data and engineering drawings
19. Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance
Preferred Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
20. Ability to use the Air-System Document Set
21. An understanding of Support Engineering in Military environments
22. Previous practical experience of Aircraft maintenance
23. Experience of ERP systems
24. Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering subject
25. Proven ability to drive first time quality
26. Experience of working with international support standards
