Join the Close Brothers Wholesale Finance team where you will work a customer generated queue of new finance applications for end users wishing to take out PCH (Personal Contract Hire) finance for a new vehicle.
As part of the local Credit Team, the role involves assessing applicant affordability, reporting KPIs, and flagging issues such as AML, fraud, or suspicious activity, using technology with an auto accept/decline model.
Our ideal team member will have previous experience of underwriting consumer new business, preferably in a vehicle finance environment. You'll possess a questioning and analytical mind and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Verify credit application documentation for accuracy, ensure adherence to credit policy, and maintain compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
* Make informed decisions to approve, decline, or request additional information on credit applications, effectively communicating with the contract hire company in each situation
* Produce accurate, timely reports to support Contract Hire companies in managing prospect portfolios
* Assist the team with ad-hoc tasks as required to maintain the smooth running of the office.
* Answer calls and emails promptly and professionally, resolving queries efficiently
* Act as the first point of contact for Wholesale Finance customer queries prior to drawdown
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
* The tenacity to pick up queries and opportunities quickly and solve them within a structured environment.
* An ability to learn new systems to carry out the role (PCCA, CAP, Experian etc)
* Understanding of Excel and simple / intermediate calculations.
* Excellent verbal, written and stakeholder management skills
* Exposure and a willingness to work to KPIs and SLAs established within the team
* Strong knowledge of general level maths
* An ability to multitask and prioritise tasks on a daily basis in a busy role.
* Capable of adapting to different working situation when required
