We are looking for a Boyswear and Menswear Designer to join our Nutmeg Design team
at Nutmeg's head office in Coalville on a 12 month fixed term contract.
What will I do as a Designer at Nutmeg?
* Deliver cohesive, trend appropriate ranges on the Boyswear and Menswear
* clothing product areas.
* Collaborate with the Design team across total Kidswear Trend, by collating and
* presenting research and inspiration per season, and by regularly creating and
* maintaining moodboards for the department
* Create and maintain seasonal colour palettes
* Complete tech packs, and manage multiple deadlines to ensure timely delivery
* of the seasonal collections.
* Coach and develop the boyswear and menswear design assistant.
* Travel opportunities: to build supplier relationships as well as inspirational
* shopping
* Prepare for design meetings as well as being able to present to the leadership
* team and wider teams, talking through key shapes, colours and trend directions.

* Fashion design qualification
* Eye for detail and passionate about product
* Reliable team player with a ‘hands on’ attitude
* Great time management and organisation skills
* Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
* Boyswear or menswear relevant design experience
* Communication and presentation skills
* Demonstrate good customer awareness
* Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop
* Previous experience with a clothing retailer or supplier

The Nutmeg team focuses on listening to our customers to put the best ranges in stores based on trends, seasonality, store demographic and event calendars, and the merchandising team plays a key role in all of these decision making processes. You will work on a team of 8 people including Merchandising, Buying and Design to develop and land several ranges a season.
