About Us

Little Acorns Day Nursery is a nurturing, child-centred early years setting committed to delivering high-quality education and care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We pride ourselves on creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children thrive and staff feel valued and supported.

About the Role

We are looking for two passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join our team. One role is offered on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave and one role is offered as a permanent position. The role involves supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while maintaining excellent safeguarding and care standards.

The fixed-term position is to cover maternity leave and will end on 18 December 2026, unless extended or converted to a permanent role in line with organisational needs and employment legislation.

We welcome applications from those wishing to work part-time as part of a job-share arrangement.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

* Deliver high-quality care and education aligned with EYFS requirements
* Support children's learning through play-based activities and observations
* Contribute to planning and assessment processes
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers
* Ensure health, safety and wellbeing standards are maintained
* Promote inclusive practice and equal opportunities
* Follow safeguarding procedures and setting policies at all times
* Work collaboratively within a team environment
