About Northern LGPS
Northern LGPS is a c£70bn pooled investment partnership for the Local Government Pension Scheme, bringing together the investments of Greater Manchester Pension Fund, Merseyside Pension Fund and West Yorkshire Pension Fund.
Building on the foundations of its collaboration over several years, Northern LGPS is now entering the next phase of its development. This phase focuses on establishing an FCA authorised investment management company with a dedicated senior leadership team; strengthening governance and creating a clear operating model to support long-term investment outcomes.

The Role
Lead the financial strategy, planning and stewardship of Northern LGPS
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and audit processes
Ensure robust financial controls and regulatory compliance
Manage prudential reporting, capital and liquidity requirements
Support the CEO and Board in strategic planning and decision making
Drive cost efficiency and operational financial optimisation
Oversee outsourced finance and support functions
Build and lead a high-performing finance function
About You
Senior finance leader with experience in regulated financial services environments
Strong understanding of financial governance, reporting and control frameworks
Experience of FCA regulatory requirements, capital and liquidity management
Proven ability to operate at Board level and influence strategic decisions
Track record of building and leading finance functions
Commercial, strategic and delivery-focused mindset
