This role is property based at Buxton Crescent
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function. This role is responsible for ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting and full regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Hotel Manager, the Financial Controller will provide timely financial insight to support decision-making, drive commercial performance and ensure the overall financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing the full month-end close process and production of accurate management accounts
2. Overseeing cashflow forecasting, banking and working capital management
3. Ensuring strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness
4. Managing VAT, CIS, payroll accruals and statutory compliance
5. Monitoring departmental cost performance and payroll targets
6. Overseeing purchase ledger and sales ledger processes across multiple sites
7. Liaising with Head Office finance teams and external accountants/auditors
What We Are Looking For
8. Previous experience working within a finance function, ideally within the hospitality sector
9. Experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager role
10. Ideally AAT, HOSPA, or equivalent qualification
11. Proven experience managing full month-end processes and balance sheet control
12. Comfortable working within multi-site or operational businesses (hospitality, leisure, retail or similar)
13. Experience using Sage or similar ERP/accounting systems
