Maintenance/Installation Engineer Newton Abbot Up to £38K Per Annum Annual Bonus Overtime (OTE £40K) I am working with a specialist business with a wide range of engineering operations including: manufacturing, design, repair, service, installation and supply. We are looking for an Electrician/Electrical Engineer to be hands on in working alongside the Senior Electrical Engineer. The role will be varied and will involve – Panel Building, Service, Maintenance Installation and Commissioning. The company work in a variety of industries so the work is always varied and interesting – it will suit those who are self starters and problem solvers. There will be a mix of workshop based work and work at customer sites. We do not require those that come from an industrial background, although experience in these areas would be great – we can provide training and development to those with a good electrical foundation, even if it is only domestic work. Full training and support, including qualifications can be supported for the right person. Key responsibilities * You will be required to layout and build electrical control panels, installation of cable management systems cable tray and conduit etc. * Carry out electrical builds, repairs, fault diagnosis, commissioning and installations both in our workshop and on site as required. * Read electrical drawings and technical diagrams to determine layout of electrical wiring. * Test electrical control systems and components to ensure they are correctly configured. * Fault finding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using various diagnostic tools. * Test and document electrical aspects of hydraulic/pneumatic systems & compressors in the workshop and on customer’s site. * To electrically install hydraulic/pneumatic systems at customers premises as part of a team. * May be required to attend breakdowns at very short notice, some overtime and weekend working will be required. Required Experience * Proven experience as an electrician or electrical engineer * Proficient in using power/hand tools for electrical work. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Ability to read schematics/technical drawings. * Detail orientated with strong organisational skills. * Good communication and teamwork abilities. * Must have held a UK driving licence for a minimum of three years.
