Overview
You will work in collaboration with trans and gender diverse people to explore voice and communication to discover how best to facilitate and support authentic voice. You will participate in one‑to‑one initial assessments and follow‑up appointments and support the delivery of group therapy via telehealth or in person. You will work alongside and be supported by a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist in Porterbrook Gender Identity Clinic as part of the Voice and Communication Therapy team.
Responsibilities
* Conduct initial assessments and follow‑up appointments with clients.
* Contribute to the delivery of group therapy sessions via telehealth or in person.
* Collaborate with trans and gender diverse people to explore voice and communication needs and support authentic voice.
* Work within the Voice and Communication Therapy team and with senior colleagues to ensure effective care.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Attained a level of experience proportionate to the competencies detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification.
* Significant post‑graduate experience.
* Experience of multi‑disciplinary working.
* Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
* Experience of assessment and management of clinical voice disorders.
