Role: History Teacher
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of history. You will support students in developing a well-rounded understanding of historical events, figures, and concepts. Your role will include:
As a History Teacher, you should be planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and meaningful History lessons to students of various age groups (KS3, KS4, and KS5).
* Encouraging students to apply historical analysis and critical thinking skills in various contexts.
* Supporting students in their academic development, providing guidance and assistance when needed.
* Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.
* Contributing to the development of the History curriculum.
* Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in History.
* Ensuring the effective delivery of the History syllabus.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the History department.
* As a qualified History Teacher, you will be expected to attend departmental meetings.
Key Qualities We Are Looking For:
* A strong passion for History and a desire to support students' historical understanding.
* A recognized teaching qualification in History, or equivalent.
* Experience in teaching History to secondary-aged students is highly desirable.
* A passion for developing young people academically and critically.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a stimulating and collaborative team.
