NEURODEVELOPMENTAL PATHWAY OPERATIONAL LEAD
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment role, to provide strategic leadership and operational co-ordination to the Neurodevelopmental (ND) Pathways in Pennine Care CAMHS.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating provision of a specialist assessment service to children and young people with a suspected neurodiverse presentation.
The focus of this role is to ensure the delivery of objectives aligned with the Greater Manchester Neurodevelopmental Transformation programme of work including the
* Implementation of the use of the GM ND Triage Tool
* Active participation with the development of locality ND Triage multi-agency panels
* A programme of work to review children and young people currently waiting for assessment
* Review and development of neurodevelopmental assessment pathways to ensure there is improved access to assessment for children and young people when needed
* Management and oversight of current waiting list for ND assessment
The post holder will support the CAMHS service lead and associate director in the review, implementation and delivery of service, ensuring integration with corporate strategy and CAMHS and ND local and national priorities.

Main duties of the job
To act as the lead manager for the implementation and development for Pennine Care neuro developmental service, service plans. The post holder is also expected to promote and maintain partnerships and interface with other professionals and agencies that work within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Framework. Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of an assessment and treatment pathway from the point of referral through to discharge supported by clinical leads.
This will involve close liaison with GPs, Paediatricians, adult services, other community CAMHS teams and partner agencies including education, social care and VCSEs ensuring ease of access and support for children and young people at each stage in the pathway. The post holder will support the CAMHS service lead and associate director in the review, implementation and delivery of service, ensuring integration with corporate strategy and CAMHS and ND local and national priorities.
The postholder will be responsible for providing regular updates on service delivery as required by internal governance and also external reporting responsibilities. The postholder will also be representing CAMHS at GM meetings alongside local strategic and service development meetings.
Person Specification
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
* First level registration (RMN or equivalent) and current registration OR relevant management degree/equivalent qualification
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Short courses and experience equivalent to Masters level
* Masters degree in relevant subject
Experience
* Experience of project management
* Experience of business planning
* Experience in developing and managing change initiatives
* Experience of effective leadership of meetings, allocating roles and action planning
* Experience in supervision of staff
* Experience of leading a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrable experience of managing and/or developing Neurodevelopmental Treatment and Assessment Pathways
* Experience of leading development of a new service
* Experience of co production
Knowledge
* High-level knowledge of child safeguarding
* Working knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act
* Knowledge and understanding of key national guidance and policy for Mental Health Services and Neurodevelopmental services and pathways for children and young adults
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant DOH strategies e.g. NSF, Childrens Act, Change for Children and New ways of working
* Able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of Clinical governance and quality requirements and the ability to implement and evaluate systems of governance
