Offer description

At Grange Hill Veterinary Centre, we're looking for a talented individual to join our compassionate and experienced team. Here, you'll find not only excellent clinical opportunities but also a genuinely supportive work environment. The role offers a well-balanced and exciting caseload, split between surgery and medicine. For those who may need it, we can provide temporary accommodation in a self-contained one-bedroom flat located next door to the practice.

Shape Your Schedule: Flexibility that Works for You!

We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career, and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you. Typically, a full-time role involves working 40 hours per week over 4 days, plus our shared Saturday rota (1:3). Saturday shifts are from 08:45 to 14:45. There is no out-of-hours or on-call requirement for this role.

More about us

Our team is a key strength, including 2.5 permanent vets, 1 head RVN, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 receptionists, and 1 Practice Manager. We have a range of equipment including 4 spacious consult rooms, a fully equipped operating theatre, imaging room with ultrasound and X-ray machines, and brand-new Dental X-ray facilities, all with plenty of natural daylight. Our extensive internal lab allows for same-day results on many tests. We also have a separate euthanasia room for compassionate farewells. Our OOH service is provided by Pool House Veterinary Hospital, just a short drive away. Located on the outskirts of Lichfield in the countryside, we offer a good-sized free car park, a staff kitchen, and outside seating for breaks.

Hear from our team

"I have worked at Grange Hill for 18 months and loved every minute. I was recently promoted to Head Nurse, which was an easy decision leading such a great team. We pride ourselves on professionalism and treating all patients as our own. We have a good work/life balance and a friendly atmosphere with our clients." - Helen, Head RVN

An excellent place to live and work

Lichfield is a vibrant city with many bars and eateries, surrounded by beautiful countryside, close to Cannock Chase and Chase Water, ideal for long dog walks. It has good road and rail links to Birmingham (about 20 miles away) and other major cities.
