TOEX Lead Analyst (12 month secondment/FTC) (SEROCU)
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Analyst to join the Targeting Organised Exploitation (TOEX) team, part of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU). This role is offered on a 12 month maternity leave cover.
Responsibilities
* Manage, train and develop a team of analysts; quality assure their work and develop their skill profiles to deliver a professional analytical service.
* Undertake a leading role in identifying and protecting vulnerable individuals.
* Provide specialist analytical advice to investigating officers; manage expectations through the promotion of best use of analysis and prioritise workloads in accordance with regional priorities and delivery plan.
* Manage relationships with stakeholders and engage with partners to deliver regional coordination of the response to serious and organised crime.
* Work on developments involving all types of exploitation of people including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Note that the role will occasionally expose you to elements of CSAM.
* Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand; occasional travel and staying away from home as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant professional qualification and completion of recognised analysis training (e.g., NIAT, GIAT or other relevant analytical training) is essential.
* Experience of producing strategic and tactical analytical reports and products is essential.
* Management training is desirable; opportunities for development in this area will be available.
* Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and deliver analytical outputs within police or law enforcement environments is required.
Requirements and Additional Information
* A full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role due to flexible working and potential travel.
* Security vetting: pass and maintain vetting level SC together with enhanced security checks.
* Flexibility regarding working hours and occasional travel; some shifts may require working away from home.
