Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Newcastle, UK
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (38-hour week)

Job Description:
As a Quality Engineer, you will:
* Play a key role in maintaining and improving product quality across all manufacturing processes.
* Working closely with production teams, you’ll drive root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure that customer and industry standards are consistently met.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading quality improvement initiatives and analysing non-conformance data.
* Overseeing First Article Inspection (FAI) and Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) processes.
* Conducting internal audits and maintaining compliance with ISO and BS EN standards.
* Managing non-conforming materials and supporting continuous improvement projects.
* Collaborating with internal teams and customers to resolve quality issues effectively.
* Supporting inspection teams and ensuring training and compliance records are up to date.

Skills & Experience:
To succeed as a Quality Engineer, you should have:
* Proven experience in a quality engineering or similar manufacturing role.
* Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
* Competence in interpreting technical drawings and using inspection tools.
* Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, BS EN 1090, BS EN 15085, or BS EN 3834.
* A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
