Senior claims adjuster - casualty (6 month contract)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


* Proactively handling lead and agreement party claims from first advice to settlement to ensure delivery of the companys claim commitment and achieve good outcomes.
* Fostering good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and reinsurers, and drive excellent customer service.
* Ensuring that there is prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third party recoveries and salvage opportunities.
* The strong ability to prioritise where necessary, identifying deadlines, stipulated by lawsuits, demand letters and claims queries.
* Actively participating in client meetings and market meetings, representing the Company and delivering on the claims proposition.
* Working closely with underwriters to build out claims proposition in support of growth in underwriting class.
* Working closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues, trends and market intelligence.
* Identify and escalate claims related issues where necessary and providing support, as required.


The right candidate should have:


1. A sound understanding of the Casualty insurance sector.
2. Experience in handling Casualty claims.
3. Previous experience of insurance products as either a claims handler/broker.
4. Strong understanding of Casualty policy wordings.
