We’re looking for a highly capable Executive Assistant to provide trusted, proactive support to the Chief Financial Officer in a high-impact, fast-moving and regulated environment. This is a senior Executive Assistant role requiring strong judgement, financial awareness, and the confidence /proven experience to operate at the Board and Executive level.This is a fantastic company to work for: they offer amazing benefits, the role is hybrid working, 9am – 5pm.They have offices in London and Crawley, and you would be based between these two offices, as well as working from your own home.The Role
1. Act as a strategic partner and Executive Assistant to the CFO, managing a demanding diary and inbox while balancing competing priorities.
2. Protect and optimise the CFO’s time through effective gatekeeping and forward planning.
3. Play a central role in key finance and governance cycles, including results, audits, budgets, Board reporting, and major transactions.
4. Support Board and Audit Committee activity, including coordination of papers, agendas, minutes, and meeting logistics.
5. Prepare and refine high-quality presentations, reports, and briefings involving complex financial and commercially sensitive information.
6. Act as a key liaison with senior stakeholders, including Board members, Executive Committee, auditors, banks, and legal advisers.
7. Handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and operate in line with governance and regulatory requirements.
About You
8. Significant experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader within a complex or regulated organisation.
9. Switched on, numerate, able to work at pace
10. Take accountability, driven
11. FTSE100/250 experience is preferred
12. Proven experience supporting Board and Audit Committee processes.
13. Strong financial and commercial awareness, with confidence working with numbers and financial materials.
14. Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
15. Gravitas, sound judgement, and the confidence to work with senior executives and external advisers.
16. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with a track record of producing high-quality outputs.
17. Experience in financial services or another regulated sector, and exposure to audits, transactions, or investor activity, would be an advantage.
