The company is an established business in the Material Handling industry. Due to further expansion, they have a newly created opportunity for a Service Engineer to join the team in the Wakefield area. You will work with a friendly team and utilize interesting equipment. The Service Engineer will be able to swiftly and expertly diagnose and conduct the repair or service in a knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and enthusiastic manner, to the highest standard. They currently have a large customer base that includes a high amount of electrical equipment, so any previous electrical knowledge would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
Responsibilities
* Servicing and repair of trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
* Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
* Completing a report for each job on a PDA system.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 in Plant, Maintenance or Vehicle – preferably Apprentice trained.
* Experienced Service Engineer in the MHE industry preferred; Vehicle Technicians, HGV Technicians, Roadside Recovery, Agricultural and Plant technicians also considered.
* Electrical bias will give candidates a distinct advantage.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
* Present a professional image – be trustworthy, punctual and polite.
* Good team player.
