Overview:
McCauley / MAC Trailers are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, particularly in the European or Worldwide market in the agricultural and commercial trailer industry. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and experience with European/ Worldwide BD. A background in sales or marketing is highly desirable, as is a technical trailer background.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve organisational growth objectives.
* Identify potential clients and markets through research, networking, and industry analysis.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty and repeat business.
* Conduct presentations and negotiations to secure new contracts and partnerships.
* Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that support business expansion efforts.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities.
* Prepare detailed proposals, reports, and forecasts for senior management.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of trailers or the commercial/ agri industry is essential.
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within Trailer manufacturing, agri or commercial environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly excel.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to travel is essential.
