Job Description: Data Controller An opportunity has arisen for a Data Controller to provide Data and Documentation Management services to the Engineering functions in Southampton to ensure that they deliver projects in accordance with company processes and to ensure that data standards are continuously maintained in accordance with the Leonardo’s Configuration and Data Management Control framework. This role will provide a platform to the successful candidate for career and skills development within the Data Management discipline and further advancement within the company. The role will be based at Leonardo’s Southampton facility but may include travel to other Leonardo, customer or supplier facilities. Key Responsibilities: Administration of Data & Document tasks assigned to you. Comply to Document Management procedures Implement and maintain transmission data records for project data in accordance with national and international regulations and security aspects (e.g. ITAR, UK Export Controls). Ensuring that incoming and outgoing data is processed in line with company procedures. Co-ordinate with colleagues to ensure the project teams understand Data/ Document requirements. Responsible for operation of secure data transfer systems. Monitoring & reviewing accuracy of records. Advising the project teams of best practice. Contribute towards the Delivery of Milestones. Receipt / Transmittal of data. Qualifications and Experience: IT Skills: Microsoft Suite particularly Excel & Word, Access Able to read technical documents, drawings and parts lists. Strong Attention to detail. Excellent organisation and planning skills. Administration experience. Awareness of IT remote access principals. To be conversant with UK Export Control and ITAR regulations. Good communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of MoD security classifications Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience SharePoint experience. Intrinsic Factors Self-motivated with an aptitude to problem solving and drive difficult issues to conclusion with minimal supervision. Ability to work within a team and manage own workload and prioritise tasks with minimum supervision. Record and report progress of activities and tasks. Good communication skills.
