Timber Yard Operative – Temporary to Permanent

Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Between 7:30am – 5:00pm

Are you reliable, motivated, and looking for a hands-on role within a busy builders’ merchant yard? We’re looking for a Timber Yard Operative to join our team and support the smooth running of our yard operations.
About the Role
As a Timber Yard Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy yard. Your responsibilities will include:
o Managing and controlling all stock movement in and out of the branch
o Collating customer orders accurately
o Loading and unloading company and supplier vehicles
o Supporting stock control to ensure product availability and quality
o Upholding high standards of Health & Safety, manual handling, and yard security
o Providing excellent customer service
What We’re Looking For
o High level of self-motivation
o Ability to work independently or as part of a team
o Strong communication skills
o Good physical fitness
o Ability to work to deadlines
o Reliability, good timekeeping, and strong attendance
o Forklift licence/experience required
o Experience with building materials or in a similar role is desirable
