Assembly Operative / Process Worker

Salary: £27,000-£28,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (early finish every Friday)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
About the Role
We're looking for a nimble-fingered, detail-focused Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in North West London.
This is a hands-on, practical role where you'll be assembling high-quality, precision-made products used in specialist applications.
If you have excellent hand-eye coordination, take pride in producing accurate, consistent work, and enjoy working with small components, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Full training will be provided - we're more interested in your dexterity, patience, and attention to detail than in previous experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out mechanical and light electrical assembly work with care and precision.
2. Assemble small and delicate components, wiring, and fittings.
3. Operate basic workshop equipment and small hand tools safely (training provided).
4. Conduct quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards.
5. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
6. Follow clear work instructions and production procedures.
What We're Looking For
7. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
9. Able to follow instructions precisely and work consistently.
10. A team player with good communication skills.
11. Basic numeracy and fluent English (spoken and written).
12. Physically capable of lifting materials up to 25kg.
13. Good eyesight (corrected if necessary) for fine, detailed tasks.
Previous experience in assembly, light manufacturing, electronics, or process work would be an advantage, but not essential.
