Prospero Teaching is working with a special school based in Northenden, which caters for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a safe and tailored learning environment. The school is currently looking for a tutor to join their outreach team in September. The role involves providing tutoring at various settings, including the school in Northenden, local amenities, libraries, foster homes, and even individual children's homes. It is most important that applicants are fully qualified teachers who are compassionate, understanding, empathetic, and possess strong self-regulation skills.

Tutor Key Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Will consider Primary or Secondary trained teachers
* Early Career Teachers (ECT) in English are encouraged to apply
* Experience teaching GCSE English & Maths to diverse learners
* Passion for supporting students with SEND
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for English & Maths up to GCSE
* Commitment to professional development and learning new skills
Start Date and Duration:
The role begins in September 2024 and runs for the academic year.
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
* QTS, PGCE, or equivalent
* Previous experience in a UK school
* Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential; free courses offered by Prospero Teaching)
Eligibility:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced child DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
* Two professional child-related references
