Mechanical Technician
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring plant and equipment is maintained, repaired, and certified to the highest standards, supporting safe and efficient operations across multiple sites.
Role Overview
The Mechanical Technician will carry out inspection, servicing, and repair of a wide range of plant and equipment, ensuring all work is completed in line with company procedures, safety standards, and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect, service, and repair mechanical and hydraulic plant & equipment
* Diagnose faults and complete accurate and timely documentation
* Repair and test both company and client-owned equipment
* Conduct backload inspections and carry out minor repairs
* Support safe loading and unloading of equipment
* Work across depots or client sites as required, adhering to local procedures
* Participate in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety briefings
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture through risk assessments and observation schemes
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety plans, environmental policies, and approved procedures
* Undertake product and technical training as required
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Technical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
* Strong working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic equipment
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
* Experience with Cengar, Atlas Copco, Universal Tools, or Chicago Pneumatic
* Diesel engine training and service experience
* Enerpac training and servicing experience
