The Opportunity
We’re delivering high-volume adaptations and extensions within the social housing sector — transforming homes to improve accessibility, independence, and quality of life.
We need a Quantity Surveyor who can handle multiple smaller-value projects at pace, work confidently from drawings, and navigate both national and bespoke schedule of rates without breaking a sweat.

What You’ll Be Doing
*
Commercial management of aids & adaptations projects (including extensions, ramps, wet rooms, structural modifications)
*
Producing accurate take-offs from architectural drawings
*
Assessing and applying national schedule of rates (SOR)
*
Working with client-provided bespoke SOR when required
*
Preparing valuations, cost plans, variations, and final accounts
*
Managing subcontractor pricing, procurement, and payments
*
Supporting the operational team with commercial insight
*
Ensuring projects remain profitable, compliant, and well-reported
*
Liaising with clients, Local Authorities, housing officers, and internal stakeholders
*
Maintaining accurate documentation across multiple live projects
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience as a QS within social housing is essential
*
Strong understanding of aids & adaptations works
*
Ability to interpret and take-off from drawings confidently
*
Excellent knowledge of schedule of rates (national & bespoke)
*
Used to managing high volume, lower-value jobs simultaneously
*
Strong communication and negotiation skills
*
Commercial awareness and cost-control discipline
*
Ability to thrive at pace — this isn’t a one-project-per-month environment
