We are seeking dedicated and passionate Residential Care Practitioners to support children and young people in our new children's home based in Erith, Southeast London.
As a Waking Night Residential Care Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and young people, and supporting their development. We expect all staff to contribute to creating a positive and nurturing environment.

What we're looking for
* Experience of working with children, particularly those with complex support needs, this is not essential but highly beneficial.
* Fun, accepting, curious and empathetic personality, who demonstrates integrity and the ability to think creatively/flexibly.
* Ability to understand and share the feelings of children who have experienced adversity, and a clear ability to demonstrate kindness, patience and a non-judgemental attitude in all interactions.
* Capability to manage the emotional demands of caring for children who may present with distress behaviour, and an ability to maintain calmness in stressful situations.
* Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and experience identifying and responding to signs of abuse, neglect and exploitation.
* Awareness of child development, especially in the context of trauma, adversity, etc.
* Clear and effective communication with young people, colleagues, families and other professionals.
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or willingness to work towards it.
* Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people who have experienced trauma
* Full UK driving license
