Plant Fitter / Maintenance EngineerLocation: Broxburn, West LothianSalary: £34,000 £40,000 per annum, depending on experienceJob Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday, daytime hoursAn established and growing business based in Broxburn is looking to recruit a hands-on Plant Fitter / Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing maintenance of machinery, equipment, vehicles, yard operations and warehouse facilities.This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is comfortable getting involved across both machinery maintenance and general site upkeep.The RoleYou will be responsible for helping keep the site running efficiently, including:Maintaining, repairing and servicing plant, machinery and site equipmentCarrying out general maintenance around the yard, warehouse and wider siteDiagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where possibleSupporting with preventative maintenance to reduce downtimeEnsuring machinery, tools and equipment are safe and fit for useAssisting with improvements across the yard and operational areasWorking closely with the wider team to support day-to-day operationsThe PersonWe are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who is practical, reliable and happy to turn their hand to different tasks.The ideal candidate will have:Experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanic, Maintenance Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Mechanic or similarStrong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding abilityExperience working with machinery, plant equipment or commercial vehiclesA hands-on attitude and willingness to support across the yard and warehouseGood problem-solving skillsA reliable, flexible and proactive approach to workWelding, fabrication, hydraulics or electrical experience would be beneficial but not essentialWhats on OfferPermanent, full-time positionCompetitive salary of £34,000 £40,000 depending on experienceMonday to Friday working patternVaried role with plenty of hands-on workOpportunity to join a well-established business with long-term stabilitySupportive working environmentThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Plant Fitter or mechanically minded Maintenance Engineer who enjoys variety and wants to play an important role in keeping a busy operational site running smoothly.TPBN1_UKTJ
