My client is expanding their tax practice and is seeking an experienced Tax Senior (ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified) to join the team. This role can be based from any of the following offices: Carlisle, Cockermouth, Dumfries, Glasgow, Hexham, Kendal, Leeds, Manchester, Maryport, Newcastle, Northallerton, Penrith, Settle, Skipton, Whitehaven, Wigton or Workington.

The role offers the opportunity to specialise in Private Client Tax or Corporate Tax, depending on your background and career interests.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of tax clients, delivering a proactive and high-quality service.
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships and/or companies.
• Advise clients on tax planning opportunities and compliance requirements.
• Assist with more complex advisory work including restructuring, inheritance tax, share schemes or corporate reorganisations (depending on specialism).
• Liaise directly with HMRC on client matters.
• Supervise and support junior staff in the preparation of tax computations.
• Contribute to the development of client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.

Requirements:

• ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or part-qualified with relevant experience).
• Previous experience working in a professional practice environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation relevant to either private client or corporate tax.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client deadlines.
• Confident communicator, able to explain technical matters clearly to clients.
• A collaborative team player with a commitment to client service.
