Quantity Surveyor - West Midlands - Up to £65,000 + Benefits - Ref 1932
I am currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a key client of mine based in West Midlands. Salary up to £65,000 + Benefits.
The organisation has a fantastic reputation in the market and are seen as one of the leaders within sustainable energy design for the whole of the UK. They are pioneers within the space and are incredibly passionate about helping their customers achieve their Net Zero targets within their buildings and businesses. They work across a range of sectors including healthcare, education and industrial to name a few, but are constantly being approached to assist in other sectors.
To support the growth of the business and the major upcoming projects they now have the need to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Quantity Surveyor, you will split your time between being on site and in the office. When on site you will be liaising with the necessary parties including Project Managers, Site Managers and the clients Quantity Surveyors. You will be looking at % complete for valuation purposes, go through applications and get them passed across and work with the clients Quantity Surveyors to get approvals for variations. You will also be forecasting costs of labour and materials for future work. When in the office you will be pulling off all the necessary data and reports from the necessary systems enabling you to build up the work in progress (WIP) documents, set up applications and create sub-contractor trackers.
Essential Requirements:
A Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
Desirable:
Worked in Energy Centres, Data Centres, District Heating, or District Energy industries
At least 3 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar
Experience working on Educational or healthcare projects
Mechanical Bias
Understanding of JCT contracts
