About the role
Imperial College London is seeking Assistant Facilities Managers to support the delivery of day-to-day facilities management across all campus buildings, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and ready to support teaching, research and campus activity.

What you would be doing
You will support the day-to-day operation of buildings by carrying out inspections, statutory checks and walkthroughs to identify defects, risks and maintenance requirements. Acting as a visible point of contact for building users, you will help triage issues, log and track tasks through CAFM systems, and ensure problems are escalated or resolved in a timely and effective way.
You will also support the coordination of planned and reactive maintenance, working with contractors and internal teams to ensure access, compliance and operational readiness. Alongside this, you will provide day-to‑day guidance to on‑site staff such as Property Champions, helping to maintain service standards and support a positive, customer‑focused team environment. Alongside this, you will maintain accurate records, support health & safety processes, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and helping to enhance building performance and service delivery.
