Field Officer - Electronic Monitoring at Serco

About the role
You’ll work as an Electronic Monitoring Field Officer visiting individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You may work alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. Your work helps build confidence in the justice system, reassure safety for individuals and the public, and contribute to reducing pressure on the prison system while helping ex-prisoners reintegrate into their communities. The role is varied and offers opportunities to grow with your team.
What you need to do the job
* Commit to making a difference in the lives of others. Training is provided: 3 weeks initial training with an experienced Officer/Mentor on the road until you’re confident in the role.
* Eligible candidates will be supported by shadowing and mentorship; prior work experience is not required beyond a commitment to learning.
* Must have a current valid UK driver’s license, be reasonably fit, and have good written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with individuals you meet.
Working arrangements
Operational year-round with a range of shifts including daytimes, weekends, and bank holidays. Contractual working week is on average 37.5 hours, with a rolling rota (provided ~10 weeks in advance) that allows time off. Evening shifts typically 5pm–1am; start/finish times may vary.
Qualifications and requirements
* Current valid UK driver’s license
* Reasonably fit with good communication skills
