Inventory Controller / Materials Planner
Location: Uttoxeter, Staffordshire
Pay Rate: £18.46 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm Friday: 8:30am–4:00pm
Contract Type: Ongoing long term with reviews every 3 months
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced Inventory Controller / Materials Planner to join a global, blue‑chip organisation based in Uttoxeter. This is a great opportunity to step into a well‑structured, fast‑paced environment where accuracy and forward planning make all the difference.
The role:
Managing inventory levels to ensure aftermarket operations receive materials on time
Planning, scheduling and expediting materials in line with demand
Using lean principles to maintain accurate and efficient stock control
Monitoring supplier performance and helping drive improvements
Tracking KPIs and supporting continuous improvement across the supply chain
Working with suppliers to expedite critical parts and maintain production flow The ideal Inventory Controller:
Previous experience in materials planning or inventory control
Confident communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
Highly organised, calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills Benefits:
