About the role
As a Mortgage Assessor you will be the voice of Leeds Building Society, providing guidance on our mortgage products and services, helping our customers buy their own home.
This is a telephone-based role where you will be required to build rapport and trust with your customers. As a Mortgage Assessor you will be responsible for assisting our customers with all of their initial mortgage enquiries, which will include conducting Agreement In Principle appointments (establishing mortgage criteria eligibility & affordability) for residential mortgage customers, prior to them receiving advice from a qualified Mortgage Consultant.
In this role you will be based at our Cobal Office just 10 minutes from the vibrant city of Newcastle.
Do you have the essential skills and experience for this role?
* Partial CeMAP (or equivalent) and/or commitment to study for the full qualification
* Educated to 5 GCSE level standard or equivalent
* Previous work experience essential, experience within a regulated environment preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple sources of information
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven track record in achieving objectives and performance measures
