Join to apply for the Asset Management Surveyor role at Orwell Housing Association.


Overview

As an integral part of Orwell’s Asset Management team, you will support the upkeep and improvement of property assets by carrying out inspections such as stock condition, void properties, damp and mould, dilapidations, and disrepairs. This role helps deliver the Asset Management Strategy to ensure properties are safe, compliant, and ready for future investment.


Key Responsibilities

* Maintain a comprehensive and accurate stock condition database, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Oversee project management related to inspections, coordinating follow-up actions for issues such as dilapidations and disrepairs.
* Prepare detailed specifications and quantities for inclusion in tender documents for proposed works.
* Ensure findings from inspections are reported and documented.
* Regularly update and maintain records of inspections, findings, and actions taken in relation to property assets.
* Engage with tenants, contractors, and external agencies to communicate inspection results.


About you

* Previous experience in a customer-facing environment dealing with difficult and complex situations.
* Experience completing stock condition surveys.
* Experience working in social housing.
* Proven track record as a surveyor.

Requirements

Note: A full UK Driving Licence is required for this role.

* Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not provided).
