Job Description
Based at William Wallace House, Orchardbank Business Park, Orchard Loan, Forfar, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
Requirements
* You will have a good general education with 4 Ordinary or Standard Grade passes, including English and Mathematics or Arithmetic, or an equivalent qualification.
* Preferably, you will have a Certificate or Diploma in Electoral Administration, or an equivalent qualification, or relevant experience.
* Additionally, experience and knowledge of Electoral Registration procedures and legislation, as well as legislation and procedures related to the maintenance of the Valuation Roll and Council Tax Valuation List, are desirable.
Responsibilities
You will supervise a team of clerical staff within the Divisional office and provide training as required. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all clerical amendments to the Electoral Register, Valuation Roll, and Council Tax Valuation List are processed promptly.

* Experience in the use of computer applications for input and retrieval of information is essential.
* Effective communication skills, good numeracy and literacy skills, and a professional telephone manner are required.
* The ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced office environment, independently and as part of a team, and to handle enquiries from the public is necessary.
* You should be capable of managing a varied workload, making decisions, and accepting responsibility.
* As this position requires a Basic Disclosure, a satisfactory response from Disclosure Scotland is necessary.
