Who You Are You are a qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate and SRA number. You have experience in providing legal advice and executing transactional work and drafting for commercial property matters as well as housing-related tasks. As a professional, you are independent yet collaborative, capable of managing complex caseloads within local government settings. You are ready to mentor and support junior members of your team and are flexible with office attendance, understanding the occasional need to be present in Addlestone, typically twice a week. What the Job Involves This role requires offering legal advice, transactional work, and drafting for various property and housing matters, including but not limited to commercial properties, open spaces, community assets and housing schemes. You will manage a caseload with minimal supervision, work in partnership with external legal advisors, and instruct counsel when necessary. Moreover, you will draft legal implications for Committee reports, attend meetings, and contribute to service improvement efforts using case management systems. Compliance with the organization's policies and active participation in team discussions are essential.
