Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) to join our Product Development team. This pivotal role involves translating company-wide and security-related GRC obligations into actionable roadmaps, metrics, and daily activities for the technology team. You will design and implement a framework to embed compliance seamlessly into our product and tech teams, balancing compliance with our product development roadmap. This high-visibility position requires a tech-savvy leader capable of influencing and driving cultural change across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership: Act as the primary owner and leader for GRC initiatives within our technology team, translating high-level compliance requirements into frameworks, including roadmaps, processes, and accountability.
2. Framework Design: Develop and implement a robust framework ensuring GRC obligations are integrated into workflows, reporting structures, and roadmaps.
3. Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with senior tech leaders and compliance teams (security, risk, legal) to streamline engagement and alignment.
4. Metrics and Reporting: Design a metrics-driven approach to monitor and report GRC obligations, fostering transparency and accountability.
5. Cultural Transformation: Lead a cultural shift to make GRC an integral part of team workflows, including automation practices like testing and scanning.
6. Process Integration: Ensure existing processes align with broader tech ways of working to enhance GRC positioning.
7. Advocacy and Influence: Serve as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing compliance with technology delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Strategic Vision: Ability to translate high-level GRC requirements into actionable plans.
* Understanding of Tech Teams: Familiarity with tech development processes to influence and embed GRC requirements effectively.
* Metrics-Driven: Experience designing and leveraging metrics for GRC performance improvement.
* Cultural Change Leadership: Proven track record of embedding compliance practices within technology teams.
* Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence across levels and functions.
* Process Design: Ability to create processes that enhance efficiency and align with organizational ways of working.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience implementing regulatory frameworks within product and tech organizations.
* Extensive experience in GRC roles within technology teams.
* Experience building scalable frameworks and processes to improve compliance efficiency.
* Ability to translate complex compliance requirements into clear, actionable steps for technical teams.
* Familiarity with automated compliance practices (testing, scanning) integrated into workflows.
* Strategic leadership skills to drive change and unify teams around a vision.
