We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Cover Supervisor to work across a number of secondary schools in Rochdale for the academic year starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are considering a career in education and want to gain hands-on experience in the classroom. As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting students in the absence of their usual class teacher. You will ensure that students remain engaged with their work, follow instructions, and maintain positive behaviour throughout the lesson. This role will provide you with invaluable experience working in secondary schools and will support you in developing your skills for a potential future career in teaching. Key Responsibilities: Supervise students in a classroom environment, ensuring they remain on task and complete their work as set by the teacher Manage student behaviour and maintain a positive, respectful atmosphere in the classroom Provide support to students who may need extra help with their learning Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring students' safety and well-being at all times Assist with administrative tasks, including marking and setting up resources when needed Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop both academically and personally Support teachers and other school staff in maintaining a productive and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will: Be a recent graduate (degree in any subject) or currently completing a degree with an interest in pursuing a career in education Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and providing support to students Have a proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to adapt to different classroom environments Be organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential Apply now with your recent CV for further information, to discuss the role further please call.
