A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Merton is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join the pastoral team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a supportive role and is committed to helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting students across the school who display challenging behaviour or need extra pastoral support.
Acting as a role model, building positive and respectful relationships with students.
Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver behaviour interventions and mentoring.
Supporting the wider pastoral team in maintaining a calm and safe school environment.
Collaborating with teachers, leaders, and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support.
Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
Be calm, consistent, and confident in managing behaviour.
Be passionate about inclusion, wellbeing, and helping students succeed.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to maintain firm boundaries while showing empathy and understanding.
