We are looking for a diligent Surveyor who is proficient at managing public sector construction projects. The ideal candidate should be adept at overseeing all aspects of the surveying of Social Housing Stock.

Description
* Conduct property inspections to diagnose building defects and assess repair requirements.
* Specify, schedule, and oversee responsive and planned repair works.
* Raise, manage, and monitor works orders using housing/repairs management systems.
* Liaise with contractors and in-house teams to ensure timely and quality completion of works.
* Ensure repairs comply with health & safety, housing legislation, and relevant regulations.
* Monitor contractor performance and complete post-inspections for quality assurance.
* Provide technical advice to tenants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* Manage disrepair claims and liaise with legal teams where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records, survey data, and property condition reports.
* Support void inspections, prepare scopes of work, and ensure timely re-let.
* Work collaboratively with housing officers, asset teams, and external partners.
* Contribute to stock condition surveys and asset management planning.
* Respond to emergency repairs and complex repair issues promptly and effectively.
Profile
A successful Surveyor should have:
* An educational qualification in Surveying or a related discipline
* Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software
* Solid knowledge of construction regulations and standards
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities
