About The Role We’re looking for an experienced ICP Project lead to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a key role within the ICP/IDNO delivery team which focuses on developing, estimating, planning, and delivering connection projects aligned with organisational values and objectives. You’ll be collaborating with colleagues and clients on projects UK-wide, so flexibility with travel is essential with this role. Key responsibilities Support a team of delivery partners by close engagement and monitoring. Oversee and report on project scopes within the sector. Prepare and lead internal risk reviews. Act as the technical and commercial lead for assigned projects. Collaborate with the ICP Sales team on customer enquiries and support project development at the tender stage alongside the ICP Design team. Contribute to the tendering and risk review processes. Organise site surveys and pre-start information gathering Manage and deliver construction projects from design handover to completion/energising, including commissioning works. Develop and maintain the project delivery program. Coordinate labour, resource requirements, and procurement with in- house QS/procurement as well as suppliers and subcontractors. Complete regular commercial project reporting. Manage change control and ensure contract compliance via QS to deliver projects profitably and on schedule. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including DNOs/IDNOs, clients, councils, supply chain, and internal teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, such as Electricity at Work, H&S, ESQCR, NERS, GIRS, WIRSand CDM Regulations. Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including As-Laid drawings, commissioning reports, and handover packs. Prepare construction phase safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and H&S plans from the ICP SHEQ Library. Assume overall responsibility for on-site project delivery. What you will need Proven experience in delivering HV 11Kv/ LV substation/cable projects compliant with NERS requirements. Expertise in delivering EHV 33kV connections to DNO/IDNO specifications. Comprehensive understanding of British Standards and G81 specifications. Experience in GIRS and WIRS and delivery record to support this. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
