Learner Recruitment & Reception Officer
Hours: Part-time (22.5 hours per week, all year round)

Salary: £23,971 (£14,756.96 pro-rata) per annum
Location: Dearne Valley College, Rotherham
About the Role
The Learner Recruitment & Reception Officer is a key part of the Group’s customer service team, providing high-quality service to both internal and external customers. You will ensure that all learners have a positive experience when making course enquiries via in person, phone, or electronic communication. The role involves offering pre-entry information and advice, referring to specialists when necessary, and supporting the Group’s mission to provide skills for the future through outstanding teaching and learning.
Working Hours
Ideally, the role is on a Tuesday and Thursday from 12.30 pm to 9.00 pm, plus one other day from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. These hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service in a busy reception environment.
* Offer information, advice, and guidance to potential and current learners.
* Handle enquiries efficiently and professionally, often with minimal supervision.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within education.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage enquiries effectively under busy conditions.
* Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE).
* Level 3 in Information & Guidance and Level 2 Customer Service, or willingness to work towards.
