Thesuccessful applicantwill:
* Deliverquality personal care to each of ourresidents.
* Helpthe residents with daily activities including bathing taking peopleto the toilet dressing and undressing and ensuring optimumindependence dignity and respect of all individuals who livehere.
* Encouragethose that may have difficulty eating or swallowing to enjoy theirmeal in a relaxed pleasant atmosphereensuring dignity and respect at alltimes.
* Assistpeople with restricted mobility to move to other areas of the Homefor social activities and stimulation and to the privacy of theirbedrooms at theirrequest.
* Regularlyattend to any of the people who may have reduced continence controlensuring all personal hygiene needs are met. Toileting changingcontinence pads and removing wet or soiled clothing to ensure theyremaincomfortable andthe risk of skin deterioration is reduced andmonitored.
* Carryout care activity in accordance with the care plan for less activepeople particularly turning and moving to reduce the risk ofdevelopment of pressure sores as requested by the person incharge.
* Ensurebedroom areas are kept tidy pleasant and comfortable by making bedsregularly changing bed linen and emptying commodes andcleaning.
* Beresponsible for the regular cleaning of any equipment involved inthe personal care of people the residents including commodes andwheelchairs.
* Practicesafe systems of work across the range of tasks and in particularmoving and handling by assessing risk and having due regard forpersonal safety and the safety of people who live here visitors andyour colleagues.
* Understandpersonal responsibilities with regards to Health and Safety at Worklegislation particularly in relation to moving and handling ofpeople who live here and fire safety and evacuationprocedures.
* Actcourteously towards the residents and their visitors respecting thedignity and individuality of each person and ensuring they feel Athome .
* Contributefully to the team responding positively to colleagues and actioningall reasonable work instructions promptly and record interactionson the personal caresoftware.
* Takegood care of items of equipment used to carry out tasks includinggeneral cleanliness and advising on any faults or the need formaintenance orreplacement.
* Beresponsible for the safe and tidy storage of supplies andequipment.
* Attendstaff meetings and training sessions asrequired
* Developrelationships with relatives to help support residentsbetter.
