Adur, Arun and Worthing (AAW) Assessment and Treatment service is split into 3 teams; Shoreham (Adur), Littlehampton (Arun) and Worthing. Each location boasts a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with a range of mental health problems in their local communities. We are recruiting for an experienced clinician to lead our team in Worthing. To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID Main duties of the job We are seeking to recruit an innovative and enthusiastic Team leader for Worthing ATS. We welcome applications from either Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers to lead the team in Worthing. You should be enthusiastic, talented and have a good clinical experience in secondary mental health services. You will be expected to be able to function well independently as well as within the multi-disciplinary team, assisting in the management of clients with enduring mental health needs in a community setting. You must have a warm and friendly disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be confident, motivated and flexible and be able to show initiative in an environment which is often busy, rewarding and dynamic. You will have a crucial role in building trusting relationships with local partners and be instrumental in the further development of our service as this continues to grow. You will be joining a highly committed and dynamic team MDT, you will be fully supported and empowered to make a difference and to creatively develop new ways of working. An an interest in quality improvement along with a recovery focused model of care is important to this role. Job responsibilities As team leader you will supporting and supervising the team, managing any day to day issues, ensuring the team works within the budget and successfully achieves required quality targets. You will be required to demonstrate that you have developed excellent clinical skills with proven experience and be able to work effectively with other professionals to manage complex and demanding situations. Qualifications Essential • Educated to minimum diploma level with a relevant qualification or equivalent experience. • Evidence of CPD Knowledge/Experience Essential • Significant experience of and demonstrable achievement in clinical practice • Experience of providing professional support/supervision and motivation of staff • Understanding of Health and Social Care Governance • Experience of managing staff
