In this role, you will focus on developing the next generation of mechanical safety products. Your creativity and technical expertise will drive the concept design and implementation of new and improved innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and refine concepts for new and existing products.
Utilise CAD design tools to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Lead projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) for all projects.
Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles to optimise product designs.
Ensure designs comply with EN standards and other relevant regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of designs into manufacturing processes.
Conduct analysis and testing on components to validate performance and safety.Qualifications:
Proven experience in R&D engineering, Ideally in mechanical systems.
Proficiency in CAD design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
Strong understanding of EN standards and regulatory compliance.
Experience in project management with a track record of successful project delivery.
Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. Job Duties:
Develop and enhance products from concept to production.
Gather information during initial project stages to create product design specifications, maintaining accurate project documentation throughout the design process.
Create BOM and conduct product costing tasks.
Work in accordance with EN product safety standards for classification.
Perform prototype testing (in-house and external) and document results, collaborating with QA for certification and literature.
Produce high-quality, production-ready manufacturing drawings in line with engineering schedules.
Continuously seek improvements in design processes for efficiency and flexibility.
Liaise with production teams to facilitate manufacturing, providing necessary information.
Ensure processes adhere to relevant product standards. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
Ideally, 2+ years of conceptual design experience in a similar field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry or transferable industry experience.
Relevant educational background.
Experience with 3D CAD packages (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with technical information/data and EN standards.
