We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Reading, seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant learning environment. While an immediate start is ideal, the school is happy to wait until September for the right candidate. The successful applicant will support teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers to assist in delivering engaging lessons and providing tailored support to pupils. You will also play a vital role in helping children with additional needs access the curriculum, both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities Supporting pupils in their learning, both individually and in small groups Working collaboratively with teaching staff to prepare resources and activities Assisting children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to the curriculum Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment Supporting classroom routines and behaviour management Contributing to assessment and progress monitoring Requirements ✅ Experience working with children in a school setting A patient, caring and proactive approach Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships A genuine passion for supporting young learners Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Availability for a full-time role At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
