* Work collaboratively with systems, safety, software and mechanical engineers to ensure that hardware level requirements have been met and to overcome trade-offs or problems identified in the design.
* Contributing to the development of system architectures and considering alternative concepts and trade studies in order to determine evidence led preferred solutions.
* Providing support to production to resolve build or obsolescence issues, and supporting customer requests or investigations.
* Planning, generating, performing and validating results of hardware verification plans and procedures.

* Proven experience of developing high integrity designs within a critical safety environment.
* Ability to present complex engineering concepts in an understandable manner.
* Ability to independently manage the control of your own work in order to meet agreed technical, quality, process and schedule requirements.
* Willingness to engineer safety critical products in an industry that is highly regulated and where engineering vigour is valued.
* Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers.

Desirable:

* Ability to communicate well and work collaboratively with engineers across various disciplines.
* Experience in documenting designs in preparation for formal qualification / certification.
* Awareness of simple embedded software to facilitate Hardware/Software integration.
