Job Description
As the Control of Contractors Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful and safe management of all subcontractor works.
This involves owning and implementing the client work authorisation and permit-to-work process. Your role includes implementing proactive and diligent governance measures to ensure all relevant subcontractor information and control measures are in place, thus guaranteeing that works are undertaken in a controlled and safe manner.
We are very happy to consider applicants with an IOSH, who are thinking of, or starting to go through a NEBOSH. For a good candidate we can potentially look at funding their NEBOSH.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for sub-contractor prequalification, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, delivering subcontractor inductions, issuing Work Authorisations and Permits to Work to ensure the safe delivery of work across site
2. Liaison with sub-contractor groups, and account key stakeholders to ensure the timely issue of work authorisations & permits to work in line with procedural requirements
3. Plan and prioritise works, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to ensure operational efficiency
4. Ensure all relevant sub-contractor H&S information is proactively obtained and thoroughly reviewed
5. Ensure all relevant risks and associated control measures have been robustly adopted prior to authorisation of works
6. Audit and inspect sub-contractor works to ensure adherence to procedural and legislative requirements to drive compliance and continuous improvement
7. Report, investigate and drive corrective/preventative actions in instances of sub-contractor violations and non-conformances to prevent re-occurrences
8. Compliance reporting to demonstrate operational transparency and to identify opportunities for improvement.
9. Develop strong relationships with sub-contractor groups to drive a culture of trust, collaboration and adherence
