What are we looking for?
Qualified or experienced in British Sign Language (minimum BSL Level 3 preferred). A passion for supporting accessibility and inclusion. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain attentive and focused in a live event setting. Reliability and punctuality, with a proactive and collaborative approach. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
What will you be doing?
Job Purpose We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer BSL Interpreter to support accessibility at the #WorldChangers Awards 2025 Event. This role involves interpreting event proceedings into British Sign Language (BSL) to ensure full participation and inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing guests. It is a chance to use your skills to make a direct and meaningful impact by championing accessibility and inclusion at one of our flagship events. Event Details Date Monday, 20th October 2025 Time 16 00 – 20 15 Venue The 'Ohana Floor, Salesforce Tower, 110 Bishopsgate, London Theme Celebrating Worldchangers | Championing Hope | Building Futures Key Responsibilities Provide real-time BSL interpretation during the #WorldChangers Awards 2025 Evening. Work with event organisers and presenters in advance to prepare for speeches, pitches, and award announcements. Deliver clear and accurate interpretation of both formal proceedings and, where possible, informal networking moments. Promote accessibility and inclusion throughout the event by supporting communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing guests. Uphold professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
