About the role

We are seeking a People Partner (Operations) to join our People team on a full time, permanent basis. You will play a key role in the HR execution of business strategies and operational objectives at our WA based operations of Geraldton, North Capel (just outside of Bunbury) and Cataby (north of Perth). Ideally the role will be based at either our Geraldton or North Capel operations, with regular travel to the other WA sites, including Perth. The role will also work closely with 2 People Advisors who also support the region.
Role responsibilities will include the following:
4. Partner with the business to provide HR advisory support and coaching on people matters including workforce planning, performance management, talent development, employee relations and change management
5. Analyse and monitor workforce trends to identify leading trends for the operational workgroup and support the delivery of proactive strategies in response
6. Support operational leaders to progress day to day activities and culture initiatives
7. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality services
8. Participate as part of a broader professional HR team by personally contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have
9. Tertiary qualification in human resources or related discipline
10. Demonstrated experience in a human resources role within mining or other related heavy industries
11. Proven ability to develop constructive working relationships with employees and managers
12. Strong influencing skills
13. A good understanding of human resources and employee relations legislation and practices
14. Sound judgement and objective problem-solving skills
15. Experience using HR systems such as Workday
16. Valid C class driver’s licence
