The Opportunity – Insurance Direct Sales Coordinator
Owned by JCB Excavators, JCB Insurance is an independent General Insurance Broker focussed on clients in the Construction Industry. Based near JCB World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, JCB Insurance is a team of friendly insurance experts who work hard to provide their clients with insurance solutions tailored to their businesses at the right price, all backed up by exceptional customer service.
About the role:
To support the growth of our commercial portfolio by handling new business enquiries from initial contact through to policy inception. You will work closely with prospects, underwriters, and internal teams to deliver competitive, compliant, and customer-focused insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
* Handle inbound new business enquiries via phone, email, and referral.
* Conduct thorough fact-finding to understand client needs and risk profiles.
* Prepare and present quotations using internal systems and insurer portals.
* Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and secure competitive cover.
* Issue policy documentation, invoices, and welcome packs.
* Ensure all client records and documentation are accurate and compliant.
* Maintain FCA compliance and adhere to internal procedures at all times.
Qualifications
* Experience in Commercial Insurance, preferably with a Broker. Cert CII would be preferred although not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and broking skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
* Passion for customer service and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A keen eye for accuracy and detail, even under pressure.
* Skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
